About This Cichlid Variety
Dimidiochromis compressiceps are described as narrow and laterally COMPRESSED cichlid that minimizes its visibility for its aggressive attack on its prey. Some even refer to them as predator haps. These Haps males can grow as large as 9 inches. They are mainly piscivorous fish found in lake Malawi. They prefer warm water 74 - 84 degrees F, hard waters, with a ph of 7.4-8.4. Their nickname/common name is Malawi Eyebiters.
