About This Cichlid Variety
These large hapalochromis are found all over Lake Malawi. I often referred to all the Nimbochromis’ as camouflaged. Both male and female, have a camouflaged appearance with the exception that the male turns deep blue throughout his camouflage as he matures. They are mild to moderately aggressive, growing to a nice size of 8 to 11 inches. Temperature ranges from 74 to 84° with a pH of 7.4 and 8.4 and hard waters.
