About This Cichlid Variety
This is one of my favorite Cichlids. Insignis grow quite large 8 to 10 inches but we’ve seen one that was actually 14 inches before. Gorgeous Blue, upper body with a fade into yellow on the lower body. These elongated cichlids have a nice contrast to aquariums. Described as a mildly aggressive omnivore. They like hard waters with temperature range anywhere from 74 to 84°F and a pH of 7.4 and 8.4.
