About This Cichlid Variety
The origins of the Albino German Red peacock are hard to find in the literature. The literature discusses recessive, genes, blah blah blah. What I want you to know about these beautiful Cichlids is that their eyesight is only about 50 to 70% of that of a regular peacock. This means you need to target feed them so that they can keep pace with the other Cichlids in your tank. They are also polygamous omnivores that are mildly aggressive. They are not as aggressive as other peacocks. Their maximum size is 6 to 7 inches with temperature ranges between 74 and 84°F and they prefer a pH of 7.4 to 8.4. They are also maternal mouth brooders.
